Lessons for beginning to advanced students, focusing on finger placement, strumming, sight-reading, understanding groove and chord placement. Students will learn to tune their guitar, as well as care for their instrument. From classic rock to current music, guitar lessons are sure to excite any musician.
Instruction will focus on breath control, pitch, articulation, posture, and stage presence. A wide variety of genres will be covered.
This beginner ukulele class will teach you all the skills you’ll need to start playing. You will learn how to tune and care for your ukulele, how to read chord charts and how to play several songs. You’ll be jamming along to your favorite music in no time! Students must bring their own ukulele, a clip on tuner, and should have some basic music reading skills.
Beginning students will focus on piano basics; learning to read notes, read rhythms, play scales, play basic chords and other tools essential to play any style of music. Basic music theory will also be taught. Advanced students will learn how to use lead sheets.
All music is rhythm! What a better way to begin a child’s musical journey than a fun class that teaches all of the fundamentals of drumming? Multi-instrumentalist Mick Archer presents bucket drums, the three types of hand percussion instruments, and introduces melody and harmony with Boom Whackers. No prior musical experience is necessary, just a willingness to listen, learn, and participate.
