The Des Plaines Park District offers year-round aquatics programs featuring our Prairie Lakes Swim School, parent/tot classes, adult swim lessons, adult exercise classes, and lifeguard training programs. We have three outdoor pools and the beautiful year-round indoor Prairie Lakes Aquatic Center, which includes an 8-lane, 25-yard competition/lap pool, a 3-lane warm water Wellness Pool, and a Splash Pad. During the summer outdoor pool season, starting in June, the park district operates two neighborhood pools—Chippewa & Arndt—and the popular Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center. With a wide variety of pool pass options, Des Plaines residents and swimmers from all around the area have unlimited aquatic adventure opportunities at the park district!
