The Des Plaines Park District features 7 major facilities, which include an indoor Aquatic Center with an 8-lane, 25-yard competition and lap pool, splash pad and wellness pool; a water park; two golf courses; a Fitness Center, and a Health Club, both with lockers, saunas and whirlpools; an Adventure Center with an 18-hole mini-golf course, batting cages and a Skate/BMX park; a Game Zone; Creative Corners Preschool; the 298 seat Prairie Lakes Theater; and the premier golf practice facility in the Midwest: Golf Center Des Plaines. We have two neighborhood pools, and we own or maintain 56 parks, facilities, and green spaces across Des Plaines. We are also a major sponsor of the Des Plaines History Center, and contribute to the Frisbie Senior Center.
