Mary Schaefer is thrilled to be part of the DPPD programming. She taught for 22 years in District 62, until her retirement in 2020. Since then, she has filled her time teaching preschool in many different environments. She is proud to be teaching the new “Little Leafers” Summer Camp program. Ms. Mary has many ideas that will engage young minds with thoughtful understanding of the connections in the natural world. She plans on familiarizing students with plants, animals, natural features and phenomena in our surroundings. She is looking forward to awakening each child’s mind with enthusiasm by offering direct experiences and sharing inspiration of the world around us. She welcomes all to her class as they work hard to inspire one another!
