The friends meet the first Wednesday of each month at 6pm. Location can change but is usually held at the Administrative and Leisure Center David Markworth Board Room.

The Des Plaines Friends of the Parks is a volunteer organization that enriches the lives of local youth by sponsoring events, providing scholarships for Park District programs, and welcoming new members who share a love for our community.
