Of course, it takes a huge team to get these facilities, programs and events into full swing and to operate them for the duration of the summer and we are recruiting for members of that team NOW.

2nd Annual Kiwanis Cup
Saturday, June 3 • Race starts at 8:00am
Calling all students, grades K–8, to join us for the second annual KIWANIS CUP. Compete with your classmates to race against challengers from other local schools. Race distance is approximately 1 mile around beautiful Lake Opeka. Followed by Family Day at Lake Park Golf Course & Marina. Come out and enjoy live entertainment, inflatables, climbing wall, food trucks, paddle boats, kayaking, sailing on the lake, & golfing! Des Plaines Optimist Club Movies in the Park
Free! Purchase your popcorn & drinks starting at 7:00p. Movies begin as soon as it’s dark (around 8:00p). Bring blankets & chairs, a picnic dinner, kick back and enjoy lake breezes as the sun sets.
