The Des Plaines Veterans are again bringing The Wall That Heals to the area. The cost of bringing the traveling wall to the Lake Park Memorial Pavilion is $7,500. As in past visits, tremendous support from the community has made the event possible. The goal is to raise $20,000 for support and organizational expense. Bringing the Wall to our community spreads its healing legacy to NE Illinois. The Wall’s impact on veterans, loved ones and younger generations brings honor to the more than 58,000 who fell in Vietnam.

The Wall That Heals will be escorted from McHenry VFW POST on September 27, 10:00a. The Motorcycle Honor Guard is provided by American Legion Riders, Patriot Guard Riders, Iron Justice, and State & Local Police Departments.
