Spring Registration Opens

Spring registration opens today, for residents of Des Plaines who live within the park district boundaries: 12:01a online, 5:30a at Prairie Lakes map, and 8:30a at the Leisure Center map.

Download an interactive PDF of the Spectrum Program Guide (coming soon), or pick up your copy at any park district facility (beginning February 28). Copies are also available at the Des Plaines Public Library, the History Center, City Hall and the Frisbie Senior Center. The online/interactive version has direct links to make it easy for you to register online. You’ll need a Household ID to register online. Now would be a great time to get one! Registration for Summer Camps, Creative Corners Preschool for 2018-2019, and 2018 Pool Passes is already open for everyone.

Do you have your Household ID and PIN ready for online registration? You have one if you’ve ever registered for a park district program. If you need help, call 847-391-5700 or 847-391-5711, or email We will email your ID number to you. (Park district staff cannot access your personal information, and cannot tell you your ID number on the phone.)

Program and event registration for non-residents of Des Plaines, and Des Plaines residents who live outside of the park district boundaries, opens on Monday, March 26: 12:01a online, 5:30a at Prairie Lakes, and 8:30a at the Leisure Center. Map of park district boundaries.

Everyone living in the City of Des Plaines is eligible for resident rates: You no longer have to reside within the boundaries of the Des Plaines Park District.  Map of park district boundaries.
Do you work in Des Plaines? You are also eligible for resident rates in all of our facilities, and as a participant in any of our programs.

Non-residents: If you regularly register for fitness classes, or our School of Dance program, or if you have Fitness Center memberships, you might benefit from purchasing an annual Resident Status Card. The card is $200, good for a full year from the date of purchase, and makes you eligible to pay resident rates for all programs, memberships and pool passes. Ask about it when you register.
