As of May 29, 2020 Restore Illinois will be entering into Phase 3 and this will allow the Des Plaines Park District to open some of its facilities for our residents. There will still be some restrictions along with safety measures that will need to be done while using our facilities and programs. We will be requiring the wearing of masks when entering our facilities and of course adhering to social distancing. This is something all of us have been doing for months now. We need to continue to be safe and comply with these measures so we do not spread the COVID-19 virus.
Golf Center 847-803-4653
The Golf Center has been limited in operations, however we will now be allowed to have foursomes every 10 minutes. In addition, the Golf Center of Des Plaines will open its driving range utilizing every other station and entry will be located on the south side of the building with exiting at the north side of the building. Short game area, with limited capacity and grass tees will be open at 50% capacity. Each golfer will be required to wear a mask to the hitting station and can remove it once ready to hit range balls. Once a golfer is ready to leave, he or she will be required to use a mask to exit facility. The building will be allowed to have 10 people in it at all times and no gathering will be permitted
Mountain View Adventure Center 847-391-5733
Mt. View Adventure Center will open as on May 29, 2020. The mini golf course will allow a foursome every other hole in order to provide for social distancing. It will be the responsibility of the golfers to keep a standard pace of play. Concessions will be allowed for sale. There will be no gathering at the facility.
Batting cages will also be opened, helmets will not be available please bring your own.
Skate Park will remain closed.

Boating and golfing has been allowed in Phase 2 and will be increased to a foursome every 10 minutes and boating will increase from two to four in park district paddleboats. Clubhouse will remain closed, only used for bathrooms and concessions.
Chippewa & Iroquois Pools 847-391-5711
These pools will open in the month of June, during Phase 4 of Restore Illinois. There might be some swim team trainings or lifeguard trainings done at these sites prior to opening to public.
Summer Camps renamed as Summer Care 847-391-5711
Summer camps will begin on June 8, 2020. We will have guidelines that will involve masks OR social distancing for our participants. Camps will have a limited 50% capacity and each camp will have reduced groups of 10. The field trips taken will be to sites within the Des Plaines Park District such as Lake Park, Mt. View, Chippewa pool, Iroquois pool, or Prairie Lakes Aquatic Center. Arndt and West Park may require some campers to be shuttled to Prairie Lakes or Administrative & Leisure Center in the case of severe weather. We will have a great camp experience for campers with safety being a priority.
Some fitness classes will be moved to outdoor locations throughout the district in the month of June, during Phase 3 of Restore Illinois. A list will be posted on the district website. Classes will have a maximum of 10 participants all requiring preregistration with no walkups or day of registration. One-on-One training will be by appointment only.
Administrative & Leisure Center and the Prairie Lakes Fitness Centers are still being evaluated to safely open. A date for opening these facilities is expected during Phase 4 of Restore Illinois.

Youth programs during Phase 3 classes will have a maximum of 10 participants all requiring preregistration with no walkups or day of registration. Drills, practices, and lessons that do not involve contact between individuals and allow for 6-ft of social distancing to be maintained (no competitive games allowed).ld they require it. Be sure to practice social distancing while out on walks, maintaining at least 6 feet from other neighbors and their pets.
