Family Literacy Night at Algonquin School

Algonquin Middle School will host a Family Literacy Night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the school, 123 N. Eighth Ave., Des Plaines. Map and directions.
The evening will feature a variety of engaging activities and will conclude with an improv group called The MoonSharks and unique raffle prizes.
Editor’s note: Raffle prizes include two $25 gift certificates good for programs and memberships at the park district!

This event was made possible by a grant from the District 62 Education Foundation. The School District 62 Education Foundation preserves and enhances educational opportunities for all students within the school district. The Foundation supports District 62 students and staff by enhancing educational opportunities through grants.

The Foundation will host a series of fundraisers this spring including:
–Trivia Night on April 1 at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Highway, Des Plaines
–A concert on April 9 at the Des Plaines Theater, 1476 Miner Street, Des Plaines, that will feature ‘Bee Gees Gold: The Tribute’.
