Des Plaines Park District

Apache Park Renovation

January 3, 2015

The Park District was awarded a $251,000 OSLAD Grant for the Apache Park Renovation Project. Thank you to Governor Quinn, State Senator Dan Kotowski, and State Representative Martin J. Moylan for your support in securing this grant. Special thanks go to the City of Des Plaines for providing $100,000 in HUD funds to help with this important neighborhood revitalization project.

The total budget for this extensive park renovation is estimated at $502,000.

On January 12, 2015, Governor Rauner froze $26 million in grants to 75 parks and recreation projects in the state, including the Apache Park project. The renovation is on hold pending release of the OSLAD Grant funds.
